Growing up

Lately we do see alot of growth in Valerie. It's not so much about height & size, it's more her intellectual that has shown much growth. For one, now she can have a simple conversation with you as compared to just 1-2 mths back. I know other kids are already doing so but Valerie's speech has always not been the fastest thus I'm still very proud of her :)

The other thing is her awareness of the surrounding. Be it danger (she is such a drama queen in fact.. shouting "Watch out!" over little things), people's mood as well as events. She is quite sensitive to DH's tone so whenever he sounds firm, you can see her facial expression change immediately. When her cousins cry, she no longer looked shocked but could actually go towards them to sayang them. She also knows what is acceptable & what's not. Although that doesn't stopped her from asking for 'forbidden' food.. well.. kids are kids right?

She can also deduce what's happening from what she sees. Take for example Sunday when we reached home after having dinner at my mom's place. When the car reached the front, she took a look at the house (which is dark and doors are closed), she said "mama's not in". In the past she'll just started calling "mama! mama!" Now she deduce that no one is home because the doors are closed and there were no lights in the house.

Many things had happened over the past month after her 3rd birthday. And I really enjoy seeing her grow up but at the same time sad to know that she'll not be my little girl for long...

I love you my little ger ger..
